Resident care has always been at the heart of FIELDHOME, extending way back to its humble not-for-profit beginnings in 1879 when Sister Louise founded The House of Holy Comforter in New York City. It was here that the very formation of FIELDHOME was created and the philosophy of caring and deep commitment to providing for those in need was rooted.

INTERGENERATIONAL MAGIC . . .

In February of 1993, The Early Learning Center at FIELDHOME opened it’s doors. Aside from offering convenient access to quality child care to staff members, the Administration at that time wanted to “create a community” within the FIELDHOME campus ... to create a unique place where both young and old can enjoy and benefit from each other ... a place that felt more like a neighborhood than a “facility”. Nearly 15 years later, The Early Learning Center has accomplished this and so much more.
