Our Director
The program Director is Carmelita Ozoa-Bota who has a Masters Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, Montessori Teaching Certification, and serves as an Early Childhood Trainer for the entire region. Mrs. Bota is also MAT Certified which means she is certified to administer medications at the Center. Mrs. Bota has been the Center’s Director since January of 2001.
Our Staff
Our staff members are all experienced and are all trained in CPR and First Aid. They continually enhance their knowledge through two annual staff development days, inservice education and outside workshops on topics such as health, nutrition, age appropriate curriculum, discipline and communicating with parents.
Our Care Ratios
The Early Learning Center at FIELDHOME has an excellent teacher/child ratio and meets or exceeds New York State requirements. The following are the children to teacher ratios:
Infants are 4:1
Toddlers 4:1
Preschoolers 7:1
Licensure
The Early Learning Center is Licensed to provide care for up to 30 children by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
