An Individualized Approach
Young children require and deserve individual attention. In our safe and secure, home-like atmosphere, we strive to help each child flourish to his or her fullest potential and build a strong, self-confident image.

Developing the Whole Child
We emphasize development of the whole child: social, emotional, language, intellectual, and physical. Our founding principles include the belief that young children learn best through play. Learning experiences are age appropriate and developmentally balanced through child initiated and teacher directed activities.

What Makes Us Different
We provide a nutritionally balanced menu serving breakfast, lunch and 3 snacks. All meals are included in our fees. We follow a corporate calendar rather than school calendar which means less closures and we DO NOT CLOSE ON SNOW DAYS!

Infants (6 weeks-18 months)
Your baby is unique which is why their routine becomes our routine. We follow an individualized schedule for each infant based on their distinctive personality, habits and needs. This approach is a flexible one, adapting as your child grows and changes. With the exception of formula, we supply all foods at your direction and adjust their diet as you indicate.

Toddlers (18 months-3 years)
Moving to greater independence, toddlers explore the world through their five senses. We facilitate this by small activity centers like a sensory table, blocks and dress-up area. We also promote growing self-help skills and advance your child's developing language skills in activities throughout the day. Self expression is encouraged as well as social development where we encourage your child to respect and get along with others.

Pre-School (3-5 years)
As kindergarten approaches, pre-schoolers become part of a more academic environment. Numbers and letters are incorporated into activities such as stories, art, science and conversation. Learning experiences stem from a broad them each month, promoting readiness, language and creative expression skills.

Parents: An Open Door Policy
Parents are our partners and we encourage their input. We welcome them to drop in to observe at any time with or without an appointment and invite their participation in ways in which they feel comfortable. This can mean reading a story, sharing a hobby, or simply sitting in during an activity. Daily written information keep parents informed of their child's progress. Parent conferences are also scheduled twice a year.

Intergenerational Fun
Children may choose to take part in intergenerational activities such as music, crafts and holiday programs with our FIELDHOME campus residents at both the Skilled Rehabilitation Nursing facility and our Assisted Living and Memory Support Residence, The Seabury at FIELDHOME. These interaction nurture children's growing sensitivity to and appreciation of age and physical differences. Our setting also gives them an additional admiring audience of "grandfriends" for their accomplishments.

Enjoying Our Environment
On our spacious 100-acre campus, children go snow sledding, frolic on the playground, engage in water play on a hot summer's day and take frequent exploratory walks. Our toddlers and pre-schoolers are outdoors at least twice daily, weather permitting and our infants enjoy daily strolls in the "Bye Bye Buggy."

Unique Setting and Opportunity
Located at FIELDHOME, our program gives children the opportunity to develop a greater awareness of and sensitivity to the geriatric/rehab population and people who are different from themselves. Children benefit from "neighborhood" events like visiting and chatting with a secretary at her computer, questioning a maintenance person at work, or spying into the beauty parlor or kitchen.

Special Times
Guest musicians, Week of the Young Child Celebration, Harvest Festival Day, Giving Thanks Luncheon and other highlights enhance learning and broaden the children's exposure to new experiences. Holiday Family Party, Family Barbecues and Theme Days also add to the fun. Daily activities such as arts and crafts, puppetry, storytelling, music an caring for animals create an environment of learning that is educational and fun!
